Project Summary
Tillful's funding application allows a qualifying business to apply for business loans. After entering all relevant information meant to complete the application, the user sees a high-level snapshot of their application's progress and its current standing. Tillful funding is available to registered users or anonymous applicants.
What is Tillful?
Tillful helps new and existing businesses build their business credit. Business credit is essential for small businesses to attain the funding and financial standing they need in order to grow their platform. Tillful announced in March 2021 that in only two months it has already facilitated over 350 small business loans, worth over $10m.
BrainstormingBefore any type of design, a brain storming session was held between the project manager and other members of the development team to talk about any and all possible scenarios and issues that could arise.
Using a collaborative workspace on Mural, each member had the chance to add their thoughts and speak upon any features or needed information that came up along the way such as having a user's bank account connected during the application and more. |

Building Blocks from Sticky NotesAfter the brainstorming session, each note was turned into a block and mapped out in order to show a general idea of what the flow starting state would be.

From Flow Maps to Journey MapsA journey map was created in order to map out each specific step and pieces of the correlating information that would be going into their respective sections and screens.

Tillful Funding ApplicationAfter various iterations and copy collaboration with the project manager and the legal team, the design journey for Tillful funding had commenced. The goal for the Tillful funding application was to create an easy to use application that allows the user to seamlessly attain different funding options in order to boost their business and business credit score.
The Tillful Funding application is also applicable to anonymous users, users that have no account or are not logged in, in which they will be asked to create an account or login at a certain point. |

Tracking the ApplicationOnce a user submits their application, they are able to see the application's current status which cycle through under review, approved, funded, and closed with varying colors. These notification-like displays would be found on the user's dashboard.

Mobile FriendlyAll of the Tillful Funding services and widgets were made available in a mobile format to appease Tillful's user base which is predominantly on a mobile device.

Style GuideA style guide was created in order to keep track of any current and/or future changes. This includes everything from the text size, button color, constraints, field styles, and more.
